I had the pleasure of meeting Catherine at our Entrepreneurs Circle meeting. Catherine was rightly excited by the concept we were learning from Marcus Sheridan’s book ‘They Ask You Answer’. In short, find out what your audience are asking and answer those questions on your website.
Creating a Knowledge Hub to provide answers to questions is the ideal way to get your website ranking on Google for those terms your audience are searching for. Not only does it help with search engine optimisation (SEO), but it demonstrates to your ideal customer you are a knowledge leader in your field, which gains trust.
Catherine asked me to help her with writing some of her Knowledge Hub content to allow her some space to put her time to other aspect of her business.
What I loved about working with Catherine was she wasn’t scared to write the sort of content that goes against the grain.
One article in particular was showing her audience how to choose a commercial cleaning company that wasn’t necessarily them. It almost feels wrong to recommend alternative solutions than your business, but you’re demonstrating your ability to help, which inevitably will build trust and put you in their favour.
Now, WPCS has a strong knowledge hub which Google and other search engines will love to rank for it’s useful, customer-first content approach.
